I still have to convince Nutmeg to take a potty break sometimes by assuring her, "We'll wait for you" before we do whatever is so interesting.<br /><br />Is H. too heavy to put in a carrier or sling at this point while you do laundry? Those things gave me countless hours of productivity by keeping the baby happy and/or asleep while I worked with my hands, but then I was blessed with small, portable babies. Also, I really like my showers, so I would put the baby in a swing or bouncer within my line of site from the shower. That way, even if they were awake and crying, I could peek to make sure they were ok, and if there was nothing terrible wrong (i.e. no ocean of spit up, lol), keep right on showering despite the crying.
